Getting started

  • What is Angka?

An AI finance and bookkeeping app for small businesses. It reads your bank statements, receipts and invoices, matches each payment to its paper, and tells you in plain words what is missing, so your records are complete before they reach your accountant. More →

  • What is Lapis?

The paper your business sends: invoices, quotations, receipts, delivery orders and more, in your own look, free. It works on its own, and with Angka the paper files itself in your books. More →

  • Do I need Angka to use Lapis?

No. Lapis works on its own. If you use Angka too, everything you make in Lapis lands in your books without retyping. More →

  • Does it work outside Malaysia?

Yes. Say where your business operates and Angka and Lapis work in your currency, with plain international words. Malaysia gets more on top: SST, LHDN, KWSP and PERKESO, DuitNow, and an optional MyInvois link.

Angka

  • Which bank statements can Angka read?

Any bank's statement, as PDF or CSV. Every one is checked against its own printed balances. Statements from the main Malaysian banks are read exactly from their text; others, and scans, are read by AI, so check your first few from a new bank. More →

  • Why is a receipt waiting in the Inbox instead of being filed?

Its reading did not pass the checks: the items may not add up to the total, or the amount clashes with your bank. A second AI read it again and could not settle it, so it waits for you, with the reason shown. Set it right in one tap, or with Adjust. More →

  • What does "filed for you" mean?

Angka filed it on its own because its reading passed the checks. It stays marked, has an undo, and shows in the Inbox under Did Angka get it right? until you or a second independent source confirms it. More →

  • How do I stop Angka filing a payment under the wrong activity?

Move the line to the right activity. If Angka remembered a match you did not mean, press Just this once in the note that appears, or change it under Settings → What Angka has learned. More →

  • What is the difference between confirmed, unchecked and disputed?

Confirmed: you said so, or two independent sources agree. Unchecked: one source so far, counted everywhere with a small mark. Disputed: a source disagreed and nobody has settled it yet; it comes first in the Inbox. More →

Accountants and sharing

  • Can my accountant see my documents?

Only if you choose it when you prepare the hand-off: not included, open to read, or open and download. The link shows only the months you shared. More →

  • What can my accountant ask Angka?

If you allow questions, anything about the figures you shared. Answers come only from those months, and any number in an answer is one of the shared figures. Every question is kept on the link, where you can see it. More →

  • How do I close a link I shared?

Settings → For your accountant lists every link, who opened it and when. Press Stop the link and it stops working at once. More →

Lapis

  • Is Lapis really free?

Yes. Every kind of document, all eight looks, sending from your name, share links, scan to pay and Quick sale are free, and you can make one without an account. Lapis Business adds AI drafting, automatic reminders, staged billing and approvals, free for everyone during the trial. More →

  • Is Lapis a MyInvois (LHDN e-Invoice) system?

No. Lapis makes the paper you send your customer; it does not submit anything to MyInvois. If you validate an invoice in the MyInvois portal, you can paste its validation link into Lapis, and the invoice then carries LHDN's QR and its UUID. It is optional.

  • What is the QR on a Lapis document for?

It opens the document exactly as it was issued, so your customer can check it and you can see when it was opened. When it reaches a business on Angka, it files itself with the exact figures. More →

Plans and billing

  • How much does it cost?

Nothing during the trial, with every feature on and no card needed. After it there will be Solo, Business and Team plans, plus Enterprise, and every Angka plan includes Lapis Business. You will hear from us well before anything changes. More →

  • I use Lapis and Angka. Will I pay twice?

No. One bill per business: once you use Angka, your Angka plan includes Lapis Business. More →

AI and your data

  • Can the AI get my numbers wrong?

It can misread paper, which is why every reading is checked by arithmetic, a second AI reads it when the checks give a reason, and a guess stays marked until it is confirmed. Angka never makes up a figure: every number traces back to a bank line or a document you can open. More →

  • Is my data used to train AI?

No. Your corrections teach your own business, through rules and examples you can see; nothing trains an AI model, and nothing crosses to another business. More →

  • Where is my data kept, and can I take it with me?

In a data centre in Singapore, under our privacy notice. You can export everything, or delete it, at any time from Business settings → Your data. More →
