Angka reads every row: the date, what it says, the amount, and the running balance. It works out which of your accounts it belongs to from the account number in the file.

• Statements from Malaysian banks (Maybank, CIMB, Public Bank, RHB, Hong Leong, AmBank, Bank Islam) are read exactly from the PDF's own text.
• Any other statement, and scans, are read by AI. Check your first few from a new bank.
• Every statement is checked against its own printed balances. A row where the balances do not add up is marked disputed and comes first in the Inbox, under Did Angka get it right?
• Importing the same month twice is safe: lines already in the ledger are skipped.

Right after the import, lines that read like something you filed before file themselves, and the rest become questions in the Inbox.
