Angka

How Angka understands money

What the small marks beside a line or a paper mean, and how far to trust each.

Everything Angka shows comes from one of four places, and a small mark says which. Tap any mark to see what it means for that line or paper.

  • From your papers: read from a bank statement, an invoice or a receipt. Checked when something has vouched for it (the balances add up, a second paper agrees, or you confirmed it); not checked yet when only Angka has read it; a check disagrees when something does not add up, and then it is worth a look.
  • Worked out: arithmetic on your papers, like totals, balances and what is still owed. Done again every time it is shown, so it moves when your papers do.
  • Angka's guess: what things probably mean, like who a payment went to or which bank line a receipt is for. It always says why, and how sure it is. It stays a guess until you or a second paper confirms it.
  • You said: what you or your team decided. Angka does not change it, and learns from it for your business.

Lists stay quiet: a mark shows only on what still wants a look. On a document's page, each line it backs also says who put them together and why, for example "Linked by Angka: same amount, 2 days apart, the only line that fits · fairly sure".

Angka puts a receipt or invoice with a bank line on its own only when the match is strong: exactly the same amount, a date within a week or the invoice number on the bank line, and no other line that fits as well. Anything less waits in the Inbox, under Missing a receipt or a payment, for your yes.

Your statements are the base of everything. Balances that add up line by line are the strongest check there is, so a statement in full beats one cut short.
